Seadoo Personal Watercraft - Jet Skis
The Seadoo Jet Ski is one of the first brands that comes to mind when thinking of Jet Skis. The engineers at BRP, who designed the Seadoo Jet Ski, made the Seadoo brand one of the most important PWC brands on the market when it released its new Seadoo Jet Ski models.
Seadoo jet units are powered by 1500 cylinder Rotax engines, which are designed and manufactured by BRP, and can reach an impressive 300BHP. These engines are also lightweight, low on fuel consumption, high on speed, and turbo-charged. In addition, Seadoo is the first company in the jet ski world to use a revolutionary IBR system in their jet skis.
Seadoo Jet Skis are often used in commercial water sports to rent out to the customer. The most popular model of Seadoo for commercial renting is the GTI 130 model. With many great features, such as being robust, fast, and low in fuel consumption, it has become very popular in the commercial market. The Seadoo GTI 130 also features and electronically programmable switch, allowing the seller to set speed limiters and acceleration control measures for inexperienced and/or nervous customers.
What is the Seadoo IBR System?
Seadoo’s IBR system (Intelligent Break and Reverse) has a latch fitted on the left side of the gas, and on the right side of the jet ski. When you press this IBR latch whilst using the Seadoo, it first decelerates the engine speed, and then the reverse bucket lowers down the speed of the jet ski, bringing the jet ski to a stop. In addition, most jet skis will begin to move forward when the engine is started, but due to Seadoo’s new IBR technology, the Seadoo Jet Ski will only move forward when you touch the gas.
